“Temper, known as the “Screaming City” due to the presence of the Juona winds, is situated near the equator on the Alden continent. This prime position is home to a great number of the top manufacturers and household names in the World of Progress. It houses the main manufacturing complexes of such big names as FEN , Slaughterhouse Six Studios, Itztrong Beer, Warcraft, de Flower Adult Lubricants and Military Assault Laminates. Temper’s closeness to the equator also means that it plays a large role in the construction of the massive Ebon Foldships, holding several of the largest shipworks of Extraterrestrial as well as “Clarapandy”, the second largest spaceport on Mort ( after Mort City Spaceport of course ). Finally Temper boasts the large seaport of Port J’gn on the major sea route with Port Agrnton and Mort City.
You may worry that these industries make Temper a prime target for Thresher and other direct assault Soft Companies. As ever you have nothing to fear as SLA Industries is more than a match for them. Temper has a higher proportion of Stormers, Brainwasters and Frothers than any other city on Mort. In fact two of the large Old Frother Clans, McGubbin and Morrigan, have their Clan fortress’ here. Furthermore with Temper producing goods for a large number of military contracts and most of our brave Legion troops shipping out from Clarapandy the Ministry of War has its head offices in Temper, and Taarnish knows what he’s doing. After all he’s had 500 years to practice.
The layout of the city of Temper is similar to Mort but has several peculiarities all its’ own. Firstly Temper does not have a Central region as such.. Those who would normally reside there, including the Department of War, instead occupy the Uptown area along with the highly placed managers, technicians and scientists. But it isn’t all work, there are still all the clubs, restaurants and leisure palaces you know and love. McBlimpey’s recently opened their 500th restaurant here in Temper. Suburbia (known as the White Collar of Temper) houses the middle management and supervisors that keep the factories working. The next area that will be found is strangely the Temper equivalent of the External Sectors. As the factories became obsolete the construction of their replacements radiated outwards rather than upwards. This has lead to a circle of abandoned factories and housing known as the Rust Belt which then becomes inhabited once more on the outer edge becoming Downtown (known as The Blue Collar). Whilst SLA Industries does all it can to recalim the area this Rust Belt is a dangerous place and visits are not encouraged. You can bet that Mr Slayer is working on the solution to this problem as we speak. In the meantime containment walls can be found on both edges of the Rust Belt for your protection.. Passage between the White and Blue Collars can be made along several cleared and well guarded roads through the Rust Belt or via the many gauss train transport tunnels beneath.....”
