Here's the first part of the Special Games series I'm putting together. This one provides some guidelines and templates for playing Darknight and has a short adventure with a new soft company and weapons. Other ones that I'm working on include the Skin Trade, Props, and a handfull of off the wall missions for jaded ops. Sorry it took so long, but RL and the flu intervened. Hope you enjoy and can use this.
All warfare is based on deception
When near, make it appear that you are far away; when far away, that you are near.
Offer the enemy a bait to lure him; feign disorder and strike him
When he concentrates, prepare against him; where he is strong, avoid him.
Keep him under strain and wear him down
When he is united, divide him
Attack where he is unprepared; sally out when he does not expect you
These are the strategist's keys.Sun Tsu – The Art of War
Character generation takes place using the standard rules, but using slightly reduced point totals. I've provided a list of sample templates for each group to kickstart ideas and training packages for each specialty if custom characters are desired.
Darknight Sample TemplatesYou are new to Darknight and can't wait to help the war effort. Maybe it seemed the right thing to do, or maybe you were bored and wanted some excitement. Nevertheless, you are eager, untested, and in way over your head.
You've fought against SLA for longer than you can remember and have lost most of what you've cared about in the process. While you care about the other members of the team, you feel that the war they are living is pointless. Unfortunately it's all that you have and is the only part of you left from your younger days.
At your core, you are a victim. Maybe you lost a loved one to Slops or were shot or beaten by them. Your wounds may run deeper from violations such as torture or rape. Now you've found a way to fight back and for every Slop that you kill, the pain seems to dull a little more. Somewhere in your mind you hope it isn't your humanity draining away instead.
You live for Darknight and are prepared to lay down your life for them. They gave you the will to live another day in the shithole that SLA created and you owe them everything. A lack of resolve in others is a weakness that you don't understand, but you aren't a maniac and don't rush blindly into combat. You prefer the term fanatic over zealot…It's a lot less threatening.
You joined Darknight because they needed you and you thought it could be a fun use of your time. What you really are is a human predator that cares as much for the people on your side as the SLOPS you're killing. You enjoy bloodshed and torture so much that you were about to become a serial killer when they recruited you. Oh well, you can always kill them later. So many knives, so many choices…
You are loyal to only yourself and others would be advised to remember that. You also live by your own code of honor that insures you honor a contract, and right now you're a gun for hire. It doesn't matter who you kack, as long as you're paid up front. With the right amount of money on the table, your allegiance can shift in a heartbeat.
You've been kicked around and crapped on your entire life by SLA and when the opportunity came to fight back, you jumped at it. Granted that you don't have as much experience in combat as some of the others, you're sure that you have the courage to take the fight to Slayer and his pawns.
You were once one of Slayer's soldiers and served him without question, but that was before you woke up. After completing too many jobs to the letter of the BPN, you began to see a trend where you and your squad were penalized for uncovering SLA's screw-ups. Fed up and cynical, you joined Darknight to fight the real enemy. Unfortunately, no one on this side truly trusts you.
Here are specialization packages for custom characters similar to the SLA training packages:

The newest edition to the Darknight family, the Bomber's role in terror is
still being evaluated. SLA commits a lot of resources to
