We are investigating a planet in the Pertyan Sector of space, that our mother ships environ-scanners classified as being hospitable.
We departed the mother ship in an atmospheric landing shuttle 3 days ago and made planetfall 16 hours ago.
The environ-scanners were spot on. This planet is an extremely fertile planet. Its 4 major land masses are all covered in dense rainforests. Presumably this is because the planet has large oceans and is close to the sectors primary.

This planet has a interesting series of wildlife.
So far we have discovered several types of snakes, two of which have attacked the landing party. Operative Johnson suffered damage to his arm when a snake wrapped round his armour and crushed the limb. Operative Peters was rendered temporaily blind when a snake spat a liquid into his eyes.
Monkeys have been seen in the canopy layers of the rainforest, and during the landing decent, several species of birds were seen, though no more have been seen to positively identify the species.

The promenant type of flora on this planet is 3 layered (Sub Canopy, Canopy and Emergent) rainforest. The subcanopy consists of small fruit bearing shrubs, acidic vines, grabbing vines and sharp bladed grasses. The Canopy consists of buttress rooted trees, usually with some parasitic/symbiotic flora growing off the trunks. The Emergent layer consists of particularly large varieties of the trees found in the Canopy layer.

Two days have passed since we made planetfall and we have explored 2 of the major land masses (roughly 50% of the planet).
Operative Gipson has come down with some form of fever and is currently comatose.
We discovered some stone formations covered by acidic vines. They didn't match any standard arrangement so we think that they are either a not native feature to the planet e.g. caused by meteors, or a native feature caused by geological upheaval.

Another day has passed since planetfall. We have finished searching the planets largest land mass.
We have discovered the planets native humanoid race. They call themselves the "Ilian".
They are slightly taller than your average human, standing at roughly 7 foot tall. Both sexes are thin and in extremely good health. They have bright silver eyes that, we are told, let them see in extremely low light situations. Both sexes also have a fleshy tail coming out of the back of their skulls, though the tail is noticably smaller in the males. The final noticable feature of this race is that they have sharp, retracable metallic claws over each finger.
We have been asked to join their community (which lives in a series of tree houses and walkways in the emergent layer) over night.

Last night we played the standard SLA Industries introduction holo and 3P's holo to the Ilian.
The chief of the Ilian, an attractive and young female that they call "The Emissary" was excited by the prospect of joining our company and suggested that the land masses we visited earlier by turned into a War World. When I expressed concern over the continuation of her race, she explained that the Ilian are extremely war like, and the majority live on the planet satelite and only come to this planet for spiritual guidance and combat training.
The Emissary decided to visit Mort to discuss terms with Mr. Slayer. We asked if she would like transport on our mothership and she replied no, and promptly showed us a biological vessel, similar in design to a Dark Lament foldship.
