Normaly I run away from challenges but this looks like fun. Anyway, when we first started playing SLA one of the very frist things that one of my players said to me is that I would like to be a contract killer. I said sure and shoved the issue aside. Well now he just earned his way into the circuit and I gotta think of a way to keep the play group together. Following is all my ideas of how to do that.
Sponcerships: While I was brain storming I forgot that the squads can get sponcerships as well. When the contract killer gets a sponcership it would only seem natural that his former squad would take advantage of the situation as well and also try to get a peice of the action. If they have a half way decent finaceer then this should all work out fine. So when it comes time for the Contract Killer to do his manditory work for the company they can be sent out to go retreive or do something. Of course he'll be given squyad back up which will be in the form of the other players. Thius works cause the holder of the sponcerships pulled a few strings to get them the bpns. This way the owning company gets it's affairs in order effeciently.
Of course BPN's for this sort of thing can get rather dull unless they are spced up a bit. My current favorite bpn is a White, that is looking for Illeagal Tex trek drones being used in the fast food wars. The fast food wars were mentioned in the mort source book, incase any of you were wondering. All fast food companys are on the lower end of the sponcership chain and perfect for low level ops and just starting out contract killers. The players have to go undercover as fast food delivery people to find out which companys are useing the tex trek drones and where they are comeing from. The contract killer on the other hand actually has to make the deliveries, protecht delivery boys, find the tex trek drones, and look good while doing all of it. Cough recently tex trek has become my favorite rival company. You can switch them out with dark night if you so choose. This is one of thouse bpns that will take a couple of game sessions because there will be tons of distractions for them to deal with. Not only will they have to conduct an actual investigation, but they will also have to deal with rival delivery boys who can be quite violent, and pissed off cusomers. For added crulety you can have them make a delivery to a frother mansion. There is all sorts of places you can go with that encounter.
