In the depths of space, far from Mort, is Kn'nth, homeworld of Mr. Slayer's loyal allies, the Shaktar. Strong, bold, honorable, the Shaktars represent the model company line for the World of Progress and Karma's Stormers. The Septets of Shaktar philosophy guide these noble warriors to the betterment of all.
However, on the Eighth Moon of Kn'nth is kept a dreadful secret, a Shaktar Botany Bay, lying in wait for Lord Shahanti's attention to flicker for a small fraction of a moment and unleash Doom.
For nearly a millennium, Lord Shahanti and his Shaktar brethren have kept their dark secret confined to the Eighth Moon, whose bleak surface is home to a race of Shaktars whose existence is anathema to everything the Shaktars hold dear. The Eight Moon Shaktars are stronger, tougher, more cunning, and more brutal than could be imagined in the labyrinth of the Cannibal Sectors. An evolutionary throwback, these assets were gained at the expense of honor, family, purity, and faith. Hunted down whenever possible, they have come to hate the High Lords and all they stand for, and dream of some day raining fire down on to Kn'nth, and taking their rightful place as Lords with the Shaktars as slaves at their feet. But first they must escape their prison and spread their corruption throughout the World of Progress. They have taken their first step with the Frown, a Contract Killer at the Tynes Complex. So far, only a few of Mort's citizens are aware that the Frown is an Eighth Moon Shaktar and what that means. Most are unaware that he is a Shaktar, and those that do, do not understand Shaktar society enough to see him as aberrant.
If the corruption continues to fester in the Tynes Complex, or spreads further into Mort, Lord Shahanti will have to make a difficult decision, one that could destroy the Shaktars forever. Does he remove the shroud from the Eighth Moon or try to maintain a crumbling containment?
